    We are currently recruiting for a highly capable Head of Finance to join our luxury interior design client based in London. This role will oversee all financial operations and HR tasks within the organization.

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of finance and HR principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will be responsible for managing the finance team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the company.

    Responsibilities:

    General Finance:

    • Manage the entire finance function, including payments, invoicing, ledger management, bookkeeping, and bank reconciliations.
    • Implement cost management strategies and oversee cash flow forecasting.
    • Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner.
    • Generate monthly management accounting reports to track financial performance.
    • Coordinate the production of annual accounts and liaise with external accountants for statutory filing.

    Project Finance:

    • Collaborate with project directors and managing directors to prepare fee proposals and calculations.
    • Handle client contracts, project payments, and invoicing.
    • Utilise project management software to monitor project finances and profitability.
    • Manage project finances and liaise with clients regarding financial matters.

    HR:

    • Oversee staff and freelancer contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Maintain confidential staff records and handle HR queries.
    • Manage annual leave and process payroll.
    • Process staff expenses and liaise with external HR advisors when necessary.

    Admin/Ad-hoc:

    • Review and manage company contracts related to rent, telephones, etc.
    • Liaise with IT for staff IT management and oversee software subscriptions/accounts.
    • Handle queries and mandatory surveys from HMRC, CH, Barclays, Legal, etc.
    • Provide assistance with other finance projects, such as R&D claims.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
    • Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within retail or interior design groups.
    • Strong understanding of finance and HR principles, regulations, and best practices.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in financial software and project management tools.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
