ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

IRATA certification is widely recognised as the industry standard for rope access personnel and has over 80,000 qualified technicians worldwide who are trained to the highest standard based on the IRATA Training, Assessment and Certification Scheme (TACS).


The Role
It is an exciting time for IRATA. To accommodate IRATA's global growth, we are developing a focused team dedicated to servicing IRATA's growing stakeholders. A new role based at IRATA's head office in Ashford, UK has been identified.

This is an office based, part-time position working from IRATA's head offices in Ashford, UK, 3 days a week.

The F/T salary range being offered is between £21,000 - £23,000 DOE which would be pro-rated to accommodate the part time working schedule.


We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual looking for an entry level job in accounting within an established global organisation.


Responsibilities

  • Raising sales invoices;
- bank postings and reconciliations;
- credit control;
- purchase ledger;
- ad-hoc tasks as required within the department.


Essential skills and experience

  • Good IT skills;
- have strong attention to detail;

  • A levels (Maths preferred);
- planning or already studying towards an AAT qualification;
- self motivated;
- ability to study in their own time;
- be up to the challenge, self-driven, motivated, and able to work as part of a forward-thinking team;
- demonstrate a proactive hands-on approach;
- strong attention to detail;
- represent IRATA positively and professionally at all times;
- be organised;
- have a high level of literacy and numeracy;
- demonstrate an aptitude for learning new systems;
- ability to efficiently manage time, prioritise tasks and work to meet deadlines;
- have full eligibility to work in the UK.


What we offer
Upon successful completion of a three month probationary period the successful applicant will receive;

  • 23 days holiday entitlement per annum (prorata), including public holidays with annual loyalty increments up to an additional five days;
