    We have partnered with an exciting global leading manufacturing organisation, who are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Lead at this large site in South Oxfordshire. As the Health and Safety Lead you will be accountable for driving change and developing the safety culture.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation, who have a strong name in their field and presents the chance to work on a unique site where safety is paramount to everything they do. The position has come up due to the present incumbent retiring, and the business is looking to appoint someone soon to ensure a minimum 6-month handover.

    The Role of Health and Safety Lead:

    Develop and implement the HSE strategy across the site

    You will be a hands-on leader, understanding where you can make an immediate impact and what the long-term goals will be

    You will drive cultural change, bringing HSE to the forefront

    Coaching, managing and developing senior stakeholders will be essential, for you to drive change and enable individuals and the business to be more proactive

    Ensure standards are met and continually improved upon

    Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally

    Development and monitoring of HSE Management systems (ISO 45001)

    The Health and Safety Lead candidate:

    Candidates must have experience working within a manufacturing / engineering or R&D environment

    NEBOSH Gen, ideally Diploma or Certificate working towards Diploma

    Knowledge of COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, PSSR

    Experience of ISO 14001 & 45001

    Any previous military experience is desirable

    Engineering Degree/Diploma is desirable

    Proven leadership skills - the ability to engage at all levels is vital
