This is a permanent, full-time position based at our facility in Crumlin.

Role Overview


As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for the large-scale process steps of enzymes and proteins in the BBI Solutions product range, ensuring all activities comply with ISO13485:2016.


Role Requirements


Manufacturing Operators are responsible for meeting the production output demands by working with their supervisors to fulfil the production plan that meets clients required outputs, for maintaining and implementing activities in line with the BBI Quality system and the manufacture of the range of enzymes and proteins in the BBI Solutions Enzymes product line, ensuring on time in full delivery to stock for QA approval.

The Manufacturing Operator must follow rigid procedures following instructions in Manufacturing Batch Records (MBRs) and records information related to manufacturing formulae, yields, progress and process times.

Ensures that manufacturing equipment is cleaned and maintained and reports all damage or defects. Keeps production areas clean, neat and tidy and free from debris in compliance with ISO13485:2016 and 5S practices.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Carry out manufacturing against determined production schedule in accordance with Manufacturing Batch Records and procedures. Accurate, timely records must be kept of all activities.
  • Clean equipment and production area in accordance with procedures.
  • Maintain equipment calibration, maintenance and monitoring records in accordance with procedures.
  • Maintain 5S compliance and manage assigned areas.
  • Complete Sage production labour using BBI Time.
  • Alert Production supervisor/Enzymes UK Leader to any significant quality problem that is identified.
  • Report Nonconformances to the Production Supervisor.
  • Comply with BBI's quality system requirements and adhere to Health and Safety regulations.
  • Work extended hours and weekends if required due to operational requirements (at appropriate overtime pay rates).
  • Responsible for maintaining individual Training Record.
