    Are you ready to take your ecological expertise to the next level? My client is seeking a passionate Senior Ecologist to spearhead key projects and drive environmental excellence.

    With a focus on leading large-scale bat monitoring initiatives and providing mentorship to junior staff, this role offers a dynamic environment where your skills can flourish.

    As part of this growing team, you'll have the chance to work on a variety of projects spanning road, water, rail, and housing developments across the UK.

    Whether you're based in their Luton, Manchester, Birmingham, or London offices, or enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ecological consultancy within this highly regarded and growing consultancy.

    Location London, Luton, Manchester, Birmingham/Hybrid Working Responsibilities & Tasks · Lead and coordinate technical aspects of bat monitoring projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.


    • Drive the technical quality of surveys, analysis, and reporting, while maintaining compliance with ecological legislation.
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders to achieve environmental protection goals and deliver exemplary outcomes for our clients.
    • Mentor and manage junior staff, fostering a culture of growth and development within the team.
    • Engage in business development activities, advocating for our services and contributing to bid preparation.
    • Champion our capabilities internally and externally, promoting our services to clients and stakeholders. Ideal Candidate Profile
    • Hold a degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or related field, with membership or eligibility to join the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
    • Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in UK consultancy, with a focus on infrastructure projects and bat ecology.
    • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
    • Show proficiency in data management, wildlife legislation, ecological survey methods, and mitigation measures.
    • Hold a full UK driver's license and have expertise in bat sound analysis and GIS skills.
