    Cost Engineer - BPSS/Security Clearance

    Location: Leatherhead, Surrey

    Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 p/a

    Hybrid Working Model

    A leading, global science, technology and engineering firm working across various markets including aerospace, defence, industrial and intelligence is looking for Cost Engineers to join their growing team. This role will see you work across multiple exciting projects within the Public and Private sectors.

    Due to the nature of some of the projects and clients, you will need to be able to gain or already hold either BPSS or Security Clearance (S/C).

    Position Overview:

    • Develops program plans, estimates, and baseline budgets. Analyzes and validates project costs; analyzes project performance status. Partners with PM and serves as a project CFO that includes the development of forecast (cost input and manpower).
    • Analyzes and validates project cost and schedule performance status. Support cash management functions - AP Onbase; AR billing; past due cash receipts Responsible for tracking funds.
    • Work at Risk; subcontract funding; de-obligating funds etc.
    • Leads in COSTPOINT, COGNOS, COBRA set up to ensure compliant forecasting, invoicing, and revenue recognition. Support FP&A to provide accurate and timely forecasts and revenue recognition.
    • Work with Project Set Up Team to maintain project charge numbers, value, funding, POP dates, etc. in Costpoint. Executes internal controls per KBR Corporate and SOX guidelines.

    Key Requirements:

    • Experience with project reporting, cost actuals, forecasts
    • Strong Excell and analytical skills
    • Sox controls, Costpoint and Cobra all advantageous
    • Good understanding of major factors driving project profitability
    • Strong understanding of business reporting tools
    • Ability to partner across the business to drive coordinated decisions
