    Job summary

    Responsible for the attraction, selection, and onboarding of experienced and trainee bus drivers across South Manchester.

    Provide effective recruitment advice and guidance to stakeholders and come up with innovative solutions for attracting the best talent.

    Main

    Responsibilities

    • of an efficient, effective recruitment service which ensures the attraction and employment of the right people at the right time with the right skills through campaign coordination and managing individual recruitment requirements up to the point of joining the business.
    • that all campaigns are delivered within agreed timescales to deliver the required number of candidates for operational roles to meet the workforce plan.
    • sourcing and attraction tools to build a volume candidate pipeline.
    • initial screening of candidates via telephone to assess eligibility and suitability.
    • together with the Training School to coordinate and facilitate candidate interview/assessment days as well as induction dates and capacity in line with the workforce plans.
    • manage candidate throughputs daily, identifying and supporting the Recruitment & Training Manager in delivering appropriate interventions to address dips or peaks in candidate numbers against defined requirements.
    • all candidate communications ensuring candidate correspondence is timely, accurately, and professionally written.
    • collation of recruitment activity and figures.
    • through own, as well as team performance, to achieve the recruitment and training school key performance indicator (KPI) targets and service level agreements (SLAs).

    Essential Criteria

    • the hiring requirements and effectively supporting the management of the recruitment pipeline to deliver sufficient candidates to fulfil demand.
    • experience within an internal recruitment role and a proven track record of managing the end-to-end recruitment process within a fast-paced recruitment environment.
    • of employment legislation in relation to recruitment.
    • UK driving license as travel to depots and careers events would be required.

    Hours of work

    38 hours per week working Monday to Friday. As Metroline aims to offer flexibility within the candidate recruitment experience, there may be times that there is a need to work outside the usual hours of operation such as the occasional evening and/or weekend in line with the needs of the business.
