Synergy Hire is a plant hire company, who are also part of the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group, and operate within the construction industry.

Currently this market is very healthy and continuously growing, thanks to the Government pushing mass construction over the coming years.


Overview
We are looking for a Service Controller to be based from our Head Office in Letchworth.


Responsibilities


During your first year you will learn our business from the ground up and to understand how each area plays a significant role in seeing it succeed.

Our promote-from-within culture ensures that you'll have a well-rounded training experience and learn skills in management, hire operations, sales and customer service.

We expect you to effectively communicate, influence, and interact with all types of customers and colleagues.

As you progress, increasingly more opportunities will become available to you.


Responsibilities

  • Scheduling jobs for our mobile engineers
  • Being first point of contact for all machine breakdowns and servicing
  • Communicating with customers and suppliers on a daily basis
  • Building relationships with our engineers, helping them to optimise their day
  • Scheduling routine services of our machines and equipment
  • Ensuring we maintain uptodate certifications for our equipment.

Requirements:


  • Willingness to learn in busy office environment.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment
  • Politeness while communicating with customers and colleagues.
  • Good knowledge of IT packages with data input accuracy a must.
  • An interest in the construction sector.
  • Good levels of numeracy.
  • Good personal and working ethics.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Organised with the ability to forward plan.
This job posting is for a vacancy in our Letchworth depot. Hours are 7.30am - 5.00pm
