    Director of Operational Finance & Business Partnering (YMcS)

    We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated individual to the role of Director of Operational Finance & Business Partnering for the Your McCarthy Stone Finance Team based in Bournemouth. (This role offers hybrid and flexible working opportunities as well.)

    The new Director of Operational Finance & Business Partnering will manage and be responsible for the Development Accounts and Operational Finance teams for Your McCarthy Stone and deputise where necessary for the Your McCarthy Stone Finance Director. They will lead and work with the team to help them achieve their potential and ensure all the financial targets and deadlines are consistently met. The role requires the successful applicant to be the initial escalation point and to deal with any potential risks or threats that would prevent tasks being delivered and liaise with the Finance Director. They will regularly present updates to our Senior Leadership team and represent Development Accounts and Operational Finance at team functions and related meetings

    Our ideal candidate for Director of Operational Finance & Business Partnering role will:

  • Be ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified
  • Have previously been a Finance Consultant, or Finance Manager, or Finance Director and worked in a demanding finance role.
  • Have produced multiple sets (circa ) of year end accounts
  • Have excellent working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
  • Be able to rapidly develop good working relationships, and work across organisational boundaries.
  • Have experience of managing and leading large teams and developing them to reach their full potential
  • Operate with an approach of continuous improvement and confident to challenge current processes.
  • Be goal focused with excellent planning / organisational and delegation skills
  • Have strong communication skills, especially in presenting key financial trends and issues, to our senior leadership team and other stake holders
  • Have a resilient nature that relishes a challenge and copes well under pressure
  • Flexible approach to working as required by business demands.
  • Exhibit strong emotional intelligence when working with the team and the stake holders.
  • Previously worked in the property development industry, but we are also interested in hearing from candidates working in a retail or management service sector.
