Project Manger -Salford

Role:
Project Manager( P2P)


Contract Length: 6 months with possible extension

Location:
Salford/Hybrid


IR35 Status:
Inside IR35


Duties and Responsibilities

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead the delivery our service transformation programme with an assigned customer or group of customers to create a sustainable model for the future, focusing on systems and developing operational capability across all teams, capturing wider business projectsand dependencies to ensure that programme goals are reached within budget, timescales and with mínimal/manageable risks
  • Developing procurement change management plans for projects and/or change initiatives. Evaluating the risks and impacts of planned organisational change and developing risk mitigation tactics.
  • Identifying and managing anticipated resistance to change by leading change management work streams with a structured methodology and process.
Work in partnership with stakeholders to strategise, implement and maintain program initiatives to challenge existingworking practice and delivery models to define change requirements and prioritise outputs

  • Take the lead across delivery of transformation programme activities ensuring your input is aligned to wider business project and overall programme goals
  • Maintain close working practices with commercial data and reporting colleagues to use data as a tool to enable change, presenting meaningful recommendations and outputs to a range of stakeholder groups
  • Drive the implementation and use of automation and innovation in the procurement process to support effective service delivery and benefits
  • Use a crossbusiness work ethic with the goal of driving collaboration across business units and identifying opportunities for customer savings and increased efficiency
  • Develop and issue communications relevant to service transformations and change initiatives to ensure key stakeholders to are engaged and informed.
  • Defining success metrics relating to program initiatives and measure performance against these. Reporting progress and other updates to management and project teams as required.
  • Ensures key performance and financial targets are met

Experience:


  • To be considered for this exciting new role we will need you to meet the following criteria:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior programme delivery role within procurement, ideally within the public sector
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and nurture relationships for successful programme outcomes at a variety of stakeholder levels both internally and with the customer
  • Demonstrable experience in procurement change management
  • Working knowledge of a range of business intelligence, data analytics and procurement systems, as an expert in the interpretation of large data sets
  • Experience of working within the public sector and working knowledge of procurement regulations is preferred but not essential

Qualifications

Essential:


  • Degree in business or project management related areas or equivalent academic qualification
  • PRINCE2 or formal project management related training and qualification
