    We are now looking for a Designer - GRC to join our team at our Ibstock Telling operations, which is a key part of our newly developed Futures Division at Ibstock PLC.

    Ibstock Telling creates industry leading GRC products, where we expertly design, develop and engineer modern methods of construction for mid and high-rise buildings in the residential and commercial sectors including energy efficient facade technologies, large format panel systems and bespoke facade total solutions.

    We are looking to grow from the current turnover levels of £10m up to £30m in the next 3 years, with an aspirational drive to improve productivity and extent of industrialisation

    This is a critical role that helps our clients build beautiful bespoke mid to high rise buildings, creating project proposals for bespoke patterned and brick faced GRC projects.

    This will require someone who is excited about being in a start up environment to help build processes and demonstrate ambitious appetite to drive results and performance.

    You will be central to the customer experience, working closely with the project manager to deliver to both the external customer and internal stakeholders.

    Focus on ensuring customer commitments are met and delivered, whilst ensuring sufficient available flow of work through into the factory for an efficient production environment.


    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Produce plans, elevations and sections using AutoCAD software.
    • Annotate drawings using AutoCAD software.
    • Undertake material take-off's using either AutoCAD/ Microsoft software.
    • Produce fabrication drawings using AutoCAD software.
    • Achieve key project programme target dates.
    • Working closely with project Lead Designer.
    • Site attendance (as required, with Lead designer or Project Manager) to better understand project requirements

    Essential Qualifications & Experience:

    • Experience - At least 5 years' experience in a construction design/ draughting role
    • Cladding and Rain screen systems
    • Understanding of building regulations
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to use 2D industry software
    • AutoCad
    • Ability to read technical drawings
    • Ability to achieve deadlines set out by the project programme requirements Desirable Skills/Qualifications
    • BIM
    • Revit
