    Description
    This vacancy is for an Apprentice Fabricator/Welder based in Blackburn.

    The broad purpose of the occupation is to carry out metal fabrication work using things such as rolled steel joists, columns, channels, steel plate and metal sheet etc.

    Looking for an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in fabrication, working on large structures for the rail and civils industry.

    Based at Tazikers Blackburn facility, were looking for two apprentice fabricator/welders to start with us ASAP, who will work under the supervision of experienced, skilled operatives.

    The successful candidate will need to be able to travel to Training 2000 and our Blackburn site as the first year will be block release.

    Were looking for candidates who have good communications skills and are enthusiastic to learn and develop their skills on the job who can start with us right away.

    How to use various equipment and machines including those used for measuring and surveying, grinders, Mag drills, guillotines, band saws and more.

    We are committed to providing our people with continuous development and encourage development throughout your journey with Taziker.

    The successful candidate will train and become competent at welding, components and castings, learning to weld both MIG & TIG to a very high standard.

    Producing sheet metal components and assemblies using a range of welding techniques and principles.
    Welding Castings.
    Training to be provided
    The apprentice will be working towards completing the Metal Fabricator Standard which will include the following:?
    L3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
    L3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
    Functional skills in English, Maths and ICT (if not already achieved).
