Description

We are seeking a Housing Advisor for a Local Authority Client based in West London.

As a Housing Adviser, you'll assess and decide on homelessness applications, offer advice, conduct housing interviews, manage caseloads, and ensure legal compliance.

Act as a first point of contact for residents seeking housing assistance.
Assess and determine outcomes of homelessness applications in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices.
Conduct comprehensive housing options interviews and develop Personal Housing Plans.
Provide advice and assistance to applicants who are homeless or in housing need.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation such as the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

Ability to manage a caseload efficiently, conducting thorough assessments, and making informed decisions based on legislation, policies, and individual circumstances.

Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement strategies to prevent homelessness, assist clients in securing housing, and navigate challenging situations.

Salary:
£21+per hour

*Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours:
Monday – Friday, 36 hours per week
