A new instruction for a PERMANENT WASTE CO-ORDINATORPosition Summary:
The role will involve day to day administration and liaison of all waste aspects within the business, ensuring records are maintained.
The Waste Coordinator is expected to drive improvements in the site that improve recycling rates, reduce waste generation, reduce costs and reduce Lean Wastes
Regular Duties:
To ensure that weekly waste collections are completed and compliant
Ensure correct labelling of waste across the sites
Liaise with Waste Company weekly
Raise Purchase Orders for waste collection
Report to site leadership team monthly metrics and improvement activities
Liaise with company sustainability team, and report metrics
Responsibilities:
To be responsible for all aspects of Waste Administration including sign off on invoices and waste, & recycling reporting.
Manage waste across all sites
Liaise with waste suppliers to ensure costs and revenue are optimised
Work with the factory to identify innovative solutions to make waste easier to handle, and reduce quantities
Skills and knowledge we are seeking:
Experience of managing projects would be an advantage.
Experience of working within the FMCG sector, is preferable (fast moving consumer goods)
Experience working in waste management and improvement is desirable, but not essential
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
Effective communicator at all levels.
Good presentation skills and ability to conduct effective meetings and presentations with large teams.
A bias for action, with a professional and positive approach - a can do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile when required
Dynamic, self-motivated and self sufficient
Ability to cope with pressure, assertive and adaptable
Able to self-manage, by understanding the goal and identifying actions to achieve
