To support the delivery of engagement work to enable everyone to take meaningful action for a Wilder Kent.We are unable to recruit anyone who does not have a right to work in the UK.**Globally and nationally wildlife is in steep decline. We appear to be reaching critical tipping points around the loss of biodiversity as well as around climate change, both being interlinked. Human society cannot prosper without wildlife and healthy ecosystems.

Kent's wildlife needs to be restored to much higher levels. We can no longer allow common things to become rare. We can only do this by restoring large-scale natural habitat areas and processes. Doing this will contribute to solving global problems.

But we won't be able to do this unless we publicly aspire to a higher level of impact and show that we can deliver this.

The Job:

To distribute and collect questionnaires throughout the Sevenoaks District.

The Darent Valley Landscape Recovery Pilot is working to improve the area in and around the Darent Valley (within the Sevenoaks District) for nature and people.

The Project can only be successful when local people are involved, and their views, whether positive, negative or neutral, are considered.

Therefore, we are carrying out a large consultation of the people the Sevenoaks District, and we need people to distribute and collect these questionnaires.

For this role you will need to be available for training on the 4th of October at 4pm to 7pm, at Tyland Barn, Chatham Rd, Sandling, Maidstone ME14 3BD.

You will be paid for this training.

The Kent Wildlife Trust Group undertakes criminal records checks to ensure that employees and volunteers aged 16 or over have nothing on their record that makes them unsuitable to work or volunteer in roles that have contact with children, young people and adults at risk.

Roles are rechecked prior to duties changing and a different level of check may be needed or new check altogether undertaken.
