Utility Aid is the UK's largest energy broker to the charity sector operating from nine locations across the country. We're passionate about helping charities save money - savings that they can use in their front-line services.

The role is based in our Irvine office


Key Responsibilities:

Utility Aid are looking to expand their New Zero and Energy Management Department.

The experienced Energy Assessor will be working alongside the Energy and Net Zero Manager, monitoring, reporting and exploring energy efficiency and carbon reduction opportunities for our customers.


Responsibilities include:


  • Conducting energy audits to ISO 50002 Level 1 or Level 2 Standard
  • Creating draft reports
  • Preparing and producing SAP Assessments

Requirements for the role:


  • A minimum three years experience in domestic and commercial buildings
  • Experience in delivering domestic and commercial EPCs/DECs
  • Be familiar with Part L of the building standards
  • Have knowledge of renewable energy and association tariffs
  • Have technical knowledge of all energy efficiency measures
  • Have good knowledge of environmental legislation
  • Relevant experience within the sector.
  • Be a member of an accreditation scheme or be willing to register with one
  • Well versed in IT Skills, Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory
  • A natural multitasking ability, with strong organisation skills and the confidence to work towards deadlines whilst maintaining a busy workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and friendly telephone manner is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently

Preferred Qualifications:


  • ESOS, Non-Domestic and Domestic Energy Assessor, Low Carbon Consultant and Public Buildings Energy Assessor or BSc/BEng in Sustainability/Environmental/Surveying/Building Services Disciplines or Similar

Salary:
From £24,000.00 per year
