Contract Scotland is looking for a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to join our well-established clients' dynamic team.

Our client a Tier 1 contractor, takes pride in their commitment to excellence and safety in construction.


As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the workforce and the success of projects.


Your responsibilities will include:


Site Safety Management:
Oversee and implement effective safety procedures on construction sites to minimise risks and hazards.

Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all projects comply with local health and safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

Risk Assessment:
Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Safety Training:
Provide guidance and training to team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.

Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations of accidents or incidents, analysing root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of safety reports, incidents, inspections, and other safety-related documentation.

Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to handle unforeseen situations effectively.


Qualifications:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in construction health and safety.

NEBOSH certification or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.

Strong knowledge of Glasgow and UK health and safety regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
