    Head Of Claims Northern Ireland opportunity to join our Claims Senior Leadership Team.

    Reporting to the Claims Director, you will be responsible for managing and leading our Claims function in the Northern Ireland market, ensuring effective management of our portfolio of Motor Damage & Personal Injury claims, while successfully delivering on our Claims strategy.

    What you'll be doing

    • Develop and deliver Northern Ireland Claims functions strategies to ensure effective cost control and commercial advantage, including the development of opponent specific strategies to ensure best settlement methods.

    • Lead and engage high performing teams, through feedback, coaching and compelling communication.

    • Monitor the key external and changes to the claims environment and quantify the likely impact on claims costs and making the necessary changes in our settlement plans to counteract any external changes.

    • Build a culture of responsibility and empower others to act and look for opportunities to learn and develop ourselves and deliver sustainably business performance.

    • Work in partnership with all three claims sites to maximise best practice and to share learnings amongst similar sites.

    • Represent AXA on various external committees which are crucial to understanding and influencing the claims environment in Northern Ireland.

    • Develop key controls for ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory requirements including Solvency II, AXA Group Standards and other external regulations impacting Motor or Personal Injury Claims.

    • Manage customer experience to continuously improve and deliver excellence in our customer journey.

    • Identification and management of Risk within the Claims area.

    Your Profile

    What we're looking for

    • 10+ years' experience of managing a claims function, or significant part thereof likely to include Motor Damage and/or Personal Injury and/or Claims services function(s).

    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a leader role, showcasing a pragmatic, common sense attitude and positive approach to coaching & mentoring teams.

    • A relevant business degree is essential, with a CII/ACII/ FCII qualification beneficial.

    • Extensive practical experience of optimising performance, meeting deadlines/targets and achieving results in a similar environment.

    • Customer First orientated, and adept at leveraging customer data and insights to meet customer needs.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships, influence at all levels throughout the organisation especially ability to develop senior reciprocal relationships.

    • Strong project manager with excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload in order to deliver on objectives and to make deadlines.

    • Experienced and competent negotiator, highly pragmatic with a hands-on approach to deliver solutions.

    • Strong analytical skills with ability to analyse, utilise and present data in a user friendly way.
