As a Barclays Control Business Partner, you will be part of the BUK Front-Office Control Business Partner Team within first line of defense, which is responsible for ensuring effective control governance is maintained across key processes.

Your role willbe a key point of contact for the CCO service provision and will work across the CCO community to support targeted control focused interventions to fix and/or simplify controls, along with providing robust, effective and insightful reporting, analysis andcommunication to management.

What will you be doing?:

Attending and inputting into key control fora, providing insight and challenge
Providing input on completion of risk assessments including but not limited to Risk and Control Assessments (RCSA)
Supporting activity across CCO to support readacross, Lesson Learnt activity
Supporting review of coverage and control design effectiveness of the businessowned Controls Library
Providing support to the business, specifically during the lifecycle of RCSA

What we're looking for:

Working knowledge of Control Frameworks preferred, including Risk Event Policy, Issues Management and Control Library and Risk and Control Assessment Standards
Broad experience of Risk and Control governance activities including scheduled Annual and Quarterly risk assessment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Broad analytical, decision making, investigatory and problem solving skills and a high level of attention to detail

Skills that will help you in the role:

Broad experience of working with other Control and 3LoD teams to share ideas, best practices and ensure consistency of experience across Businesses and Risks
Proven experience of working on the design and implementation of controls improvement or automation initiatives
Proven ability to prioritize and work under pressure, delivering to tight deadlines and multiple demands across a 'matrix' organization
Ability to work collaboratively and to share best practice at all levels

Where will you be working?
Northampton

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.

We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton.

Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
