    About the role:

  • Lead the implementation of integrated pathways for service users requiring treatment for addiction-related health needs.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the service's clinical model, aligning with CGL policy and national guidance.
  • Develop and maintain immunisation and vaccination schemes to combat blood-borne viruses and other infectious diseases.
  • Oversee staffing levels for all programmes to meet contractual requirements consistently.
  • Foster a culture of continuous professional development within the nursing team.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to promote CGL clinical services to commissioners and health and wellbeing boards.
  • Disseminate relevant information to the team from senior operational and clinical management.
  • Contribute to clinical audits and ensure compliance with national guidance, CGL policies, and CQC Essential Standards.
  • Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Registered with the NMC with a current PIN.
  • Significant experience in health/social care or similar fields.
  • Experience managing teams in clinical services and substance misuse.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical interventions, UK Drug Strategy, and social policy reforms.
  • Familiarity with treatment models, harm minimisation interventions, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Proficiency in implementing effective monitoring mechanisms and budget management.
