Financial Controller
Devon
£70,000-£80,000 + bonus

I am currently partnering exclusively to recruit a Financial Controller for a fantastic, forward-thinking leader of its field based in Devon.

You will lead the Accounting and Financial Planning and Analysis activities for the business, heading up an establishedmedium sized team.

Reporting to the FD with a genuine opportunity to progress to the FD position in the medium term.


Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Day to day running / supervising of accounting / financial reporting activities
  • Cash flow management
  • Management of the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Continuous systems / process improvements
  • Business partnering with operational teams to drive business performance
  • Develop and maintain Group accounting policies and the control framework
  • Manage the external audit process and liaise with external partners

Knowledge and skills:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Strong experience gained in medium to large organisations
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Systems implementation / improvement exposure
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
