My leading chemical manufacturing client is currently looking for a permanent Senior Chemist. This is a fantastic opportunity, with responsibilities across analytical chemistry, R&D and Quality.

This is an exceptionally varied role and will provide a competitivesalary, multiple opportunities to develop your knowledge, skills and use of different equipment, as well as the freedom of being your own boss within the lab.

In this role you will be responsible for the management of key areas such as; sample analysis, R&D, daily log and equipment records, lab consumables management and supply, lab health and safety, maintaining company guidelines and ensuring quality and actingas a point of technical support.

The role is very varied, and gives you total freedom to take the lab in the direction you wish.

Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be familiar with analytical chemistry, in particular wet chemistry.

This will need to be preceded by a chemistry related background. Training can be provided for analytical equipment, and so you must be motivatedto develop your professional skills. You will need to be R&D minded, happy to take responsibility for tasks and ensuring their completion on time. Being a lead role, your communication will need to be strong, both written and verbal.
