Outstanding Opportunity for a HR Advisor ( initial 12 month contract - high probability of leading to permanent.


This role is integral in supporting People activities and will work closely with managers and colleagues at all levels from across the relevant business unit to support them in HR practices.

It seeks to deliver HR support that aligns to the People visionand the strategy of the business unitsthey support, working with the wider People team and People department Centres of Excellence to deliver a seamless HR service to managers and colleagues.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide clear and accurate advice to individuals and managers on policy and practices.

Ensure that advice and guidance aligns to EDIB (equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging) practices and takes a global view where required.


Collaborate with colleagues in the wider People Team to ensure consistency in approach to implementing policies and practices and also developing and managing HR processes and procedures.

Support line managers throughout the various stages of employee life-cycle leveraging employee engagement initiatives. Provide first line advice and suggest proactive interventions for the benefit of the employee, manager and organisation.


Proactively staying up to date with employment legislation and best practice guidance, collaborate with HR Advisor colleagues and the wider People Team to share knowledge and insights on trends, priorities and challenges.

Seek out opportunities for continuousimprovement.


Represent the People Team in wider organisation forums and networks (such as diversity and inclusivity, engagement, wellbeing, transformation etc.) to share insights on people trends and challenges and promote HR best practice.

Support HR projects and 'business as usual' work for the integrated organisation and embed ongoing organisational change.


Utilise the HR Information System and any other relevant technology, to compile and manipulate HR data for regular reporting to colleagues in the HR Team and Business Unit managers.

Support the People Partnering Team with HR Information System processes.

Supporting managers - This role will focus more on HR effectiveness and adding value to the business.

This role provides the face of HR to the business area, ensuring alliance between the HR and business unit needs


ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE
Minimum GCSE Grade 4 / C or equivalent

A HR related qualification, working towards, or relevant experience.

ESSENTIAL SKILL(S) & EXPERIENCE

Experienced user of Microsoft Office and HRIS

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills; confident to liaise with people at all levels

Excellent Organisational Skills with attention to detail

Ability to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively, effective time-management

Ability to negotiate and influence

Demonstrated knowledge of HR / employment relations

Effective problem-solving skills

Innovative - continuously look for ways and areas to improve practices and process

Responsible - have a high level of responsibility for own actions and ability to learn from mistakes or setbacks

Experience working in HR preferably Experience advising managers and employees in HR matters

Experience working with multiple processes and regulations

Discretion and diplomacy in dealing with confidential information and sensitive issues

Experience in providing professional, pragmatic HR advice
