    Job Title: Caretaker

    Location: Redbridge, London

    Type: Temporary to Permanent

    Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 12:00 pm

    Salary: £14 - £18 per hour (dependent on experience)

    We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Caretaker to join our team at a special needs school located in Redbridge, London. This is a temporary to permanent position with a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the well-being and safety of our students.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the school premises, including classrooms, corridors, and outdoor areas.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and equipment maintenance.
    • Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and furniture for school events and activities.
    • Monitor and report any health and safety hazards, ensuring a safe environment for all students, staff, and visitors.
    • Carry out security procedures to safeguard the school property and assets.
    • Support the school community with any ad-hoc tasks or requests as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities maintenance role is preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with students, staff, and visitors.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to school environments.
    • Flexibility to work early morning hours, Monday to Friday.
    • A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to the overall well-being of the school community.
