    Compliance Advisor – Storage

    Centrica Energy Storage+ (CES+) is a key Business Unit within the Centrica group and operates large scale natural gas storage and production facilities in East Yorkshire, across its sites at Easington and an offshore platform in the North Sea. CES+ has energy transition ambitions, looking to create an integrated energy hub, not only to meet our own net zero ambition, but to provide infrastructure which supports UK energy security and regulatory energy transition commitments. It's an exciting time to join us to help us with our ambitions.

    As a Compliance Advisor, you'll assist with providing compliance regulatory support and advice to the gas storage business regarding the operation of Centrica Energy's assets. Strong knowledge of gas storage assets is essential along with experience in the field of regulatory compliance with knowledge of areas such as UK REMIT and the Gas Act.

    The role can be based out of our Hessle, Windsor or London office with 2 days per week typically based in an office and regular visits to the Hessle office/ Easington terminal.

    What you'll be doing:

    Manage the compliance programme for the CES+.

    Responsible for ensuring CES+ compliance with the independence programme.

    Carry out regular assurance activities UK REMIT and the Gas Act.

    Support the Head of Ethics and Compliance in preparing quarterly reports to the CES+ and CEL Boards.

    Develop and deliver training to ensure CES+ compliance with REMIT, the Gas Act and the independence programme.

    Perform the annual risk assessment in conjunction with the independent compliance officer.

    Provide ad-hoc advice to the businesses in response to questions.

    Preform regulatory horizon scanning and implementation activities with all application regulations.

    We have a few must-haves:

    Experience working with gas storage assets.

    Experience in a compliance role.

    Good understanding of the UK gas network (UK REMIT and the Gas Act).

    Experience of responding to requests for information from regulators and exchange/trading venues.

    Self-motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active and a team player.

    Has an independent and flexible work attitude and is able to work well under pressure.

    Can successfully build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

    Has a problem-solving mind-set.

    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
