Hours:

Part-time hours per week. Hours can be worked over 3-5 days dependent on personal preference and service need.

Contract:

Location:

About the job:

Following a review of our service we are looking to recruit a part time (22.2 hours) People Advisor within the People and OD team.

This role will predominantly support managers with employee relations matters such as managing absence and supporting employees in the workplace, liaising with occupational health, offering HR advice on disciplinary investigations, flexible working requests, recruitment, training and agency matters as well as coordinating job evaluations.

The individual also needs to be comfortable with collating basic information on HR matters and performance for internal and external partners, therefore an understanding of confidential HR data and Microsoft excel is key.

We're also passionate about doing more to promote inclusion, equality and diversity, so would love to recruit someone with some great ideas about how to do this.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has worked in a HR support role, potentially completing an apprenticeship or the level three CIPD qualification and is looking to take the next step into a more advisory role, working independently but with support and guidance from senior officers within the team.

An appetite to learn and a self-motivated approach to CPD is also important as this is truly a developmental role for someone wanting to gather valuable experience in order to progress.

As a small team, the workload is varied and the whole team are expected to give first point of contact advice on all matters, therefore there is the opportunity to develop skills in all areas of Human Resources and develop into a true generalist practitioner.

Our plans and priorities aim to address the needs of all our communities.
