Fire Risk Officer (Safety)
Location:
East London with some remote working
Salary:
£50,757- £53,799 per annum
Full time - 35 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fire Risk Officer to join Tower Hamlets Homes.
We are an award winning Housing ALMO (Arms Length Management Organisation) and are looking for a true team player who is passionate about improving fire safety acrossour housing stock.
As a Fire Risk Officer, you will work with colleagues to ensure that our homes are safe for our residents to live in.
You will carry out technical and general fire safety inspections inside buildings and prepare simple specifications of works and reports where appropriate.
Your role will also include visiting residents' homes and providing assurance on fire safety related issues.
You will work closely with a wider asset management and compliance team, ensuring that THH meets all its legal requirements including the Building Safety and Fire Safety Acts.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who will value the challenge of the role and the opportunity to make a difference.
You will have a good level of technicalknowledge and experience and a broad understanding of fire safety standards and compliance generally.
You will have good IT skills being able to write reports and use data to inform the role. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact positively with internal and external customers. The role requires the abilityto influence residents and others to improve fire and building safety.A good understanding and commitment to working in line with THH values and Ways of Working is essential.

In this role there is some flexibility of location - some of this role can be done successfully from home or remotely although there will be an expectation that the postholder meets face to face with colleagues andcustomers in order to maintain service delivery, relationships, collaborate and support other colleagues.
We expect that on average the postholder will spend approximately a minimum of 2-3 days per week onsite.
Equally, we have modern, recently refurbished offices in London E1 and London E14 and will soon be moving to offices based at Whitechapel in Spring 2023, which are Covid secure, where this work can be wholly performed.
