Description
Our client is looking for a temporary Financial Controller to support our Group Financial Controller, initially for 3 months.

The role will be key to ensuring that the team maintains pace during a busy time at providing accurate provision of Financial Reportinginformation across the business - UK, EU and US.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of the management accounts and year end financial statements, as well as assisting with the tax filing andR&D claim.


Responsibilities may include:


  • Working with advisors to prepare the year end consolidated financial statements
  • Providing effective line management, and support to the Finance Team
  • Liaising with the external accountants in the preparation of the R&D tax claim
  • Liaising with the external accountants in the preparation of the tax returns
  • Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of working papers for the year end audit
  • Overseeing the accounting for intangible fixed assets and capitalisation of relevant expenditure
  • Reviewing the monthly journal postings
  • Reviewing supplier payment runs
  • Assisting with the year end close and annual accounting adjustments

Ideal Experience

  • ACA Qualified accountant +3 years PQE.
  • Willing to get stuck in and help where required.
  • Experience of an accounting within an international group
  • Comfortable with consolidation and multicurrency groups
  • Up to date knowledge and experience of IFRS
  • Experience in overseeing an audit process
