- Oversee service provision and optimize resources for effective delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic care plans aligned with business goals.
- Lead and support a team of care professionals.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings as required.
- Maintain coverage on second-tier Out of Hours roster.
- Investigate HR/Employee Relations concerns.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders and external partners.
- Ensure sector-wide compliance with Training and Compliance Manager.
- Coordinate staffing requirements with Recruitment Coordinator.
- Address safeguarding concerns and liaise with representatives.
- Attend weekly 'in-office' days for operational management.
- Provide performance reports to Head of Care Operations.
- Lead recruitment of Service Managers and care staff.
- Represent organization at networking events.
- Resolve field staff pay and invoice queries.
- Conduct monthly sector audits.
- Prior experience in line management, preferably within a care environment, including scheduling and conducting observations and supervisions.
- Happy to start a NVQ level 3 and/or Level 5 in Health and social care in the first 3 months of starting, all funded by the client.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word/Excel) with a willingness to learn new digital platforms.
- Familiarity with formal processes such as disciplinary or absence management.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and experience handling related concerns.
- Skill in fostering positive relationships with team members, carers, and individuals requiring care and support, while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Commitment to adhering to policies, procedures, and relevant guidelines.
- Demonstrated respect and dignity toward adults and children in need of care and support.
- Understanding of the significance of confidentiality.
- Comprehensive awareness of the needs of unpaid carers.
