What you'll do:


  • Liaise with all relevant internal stakeholders to carry out regular training needs analysis and ensure that training requirements are being met.
  • To drive the delivery of training programmes and work with depot teams to ensure that resources are available.
Identify training providers and manage the delivery of external training courses.

  • Ensure that central training records are kept up to date and licences are renewed in line with business needs.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with third party providers and other industry groups to ensure that our technical training strategy is proactive in ensuring that we meet the changing technology.
  • Report on key training metrics, challenges and successes within the team.
  • Design and deliver inhouse training courses for our engineering teams in line with the business strategy.
  • Review course feedback for both internal and external delivery and work to implement improvements.
  • Deliver the Light Vehicles mechanics to PSV technicians training.
  • Where required, support with the mentoring of apprentices.
  • Deliver inductions for new starters.
  • Provide a structured and rounded learning plan to support the development of a wide breadth of engineering skills across all vehicle types.
  • Create an enjoyable and supportive learning environment for our Engineering Teams.
  • Work with third party providers to ensure quality of delivery.
  • Plan and provide extra learning opportunities for our engineering teams to ensure their skills are maximised.
  • Undertake any other reasonable request that falls within your competence and capability.

What you'll have:


  • Proficient engineering technical knowledge and experience within a PSV workshop environment
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Full car licence.
  • Ability to collaborate and motivate at all levels.
  • Previous experience of working with apprenticeship programmes in a levy paying business.
  • Flexible approach to duties and hours.
  • Be willing and capable to further develop their training.
  • IMI Accredited Assessor or willing to work towards.
  • Ability to design and deliver training.
