What you'll do...

Manage the Operations Supervisors including holiday, absence, individual development plans and conduct, and coordinate activities to ensure the provision of a reliable, high quality bus service.
Ensure all drivers are safe and fit to be at work at all times.
Demonstrate effective oversight of driver performance,and continuously ensuring effective management of drivers and their performance is being applied.
Ensure all accidents (road or personal injuries and employers liability) are recorded as per Company procedure and comprehensively investigated and attend major incidents outside of normal working hours where required.
Monitor the performance of electronic equipment i.e. CCTV, DriveCam, vehicle tablets ensuring any problems or suggestions are reported, accurate records are kept, and repairs and servicing are conducted.
Deputise for the Operations Manager as necessary.

What you'll need:

Relevant NVQ Level 2 is essential (eg in Transport Road Passenger Operations).
Good understanding of the road passenger transport sector, including all relevant

and external regulations and requirements for the operation of passenger carrying

Excellent working knowledge of all daily site procedures, health and safety regulations, employment legislation, and people management practices
Experience in managing and motivating a team to achieve high standards of performance in a unionised environment
Flexible approach to working hours able to attend outofhours external meetings on an occasional basis and respond quickly to any "oncall" requirements.
