About the Role:

TheBiomass Trading Team is responsible for the sourcing and physical trading ofDrax's biomass portfolio - this entails the purchasing and optimisation ofbiomass and specifically development of the global biomass market.

Asa Biomass Trader, you'll be focussed on the optimisation and contractmanagement of the biomass supply chain position, ensuring continuous supply,minimising cost and realise value.

Dayto day you'll develop, communicate, execute, monitor and report the Physicalbiomass position and Trading strategy.

Negotiating sales and purchase contracts,you'll execute trades to optimise Drax's near-term biomass requirements andstorage capabilities, ensuring that such trades comply with the relevant riskmanagement, sustainability and technical policies.

Excellentrelationship building will be key, keeping key internal stakeholders informedof potential deals and the execution thereof. You'll ensure deals are capturedaccurately and timely in all position monitoring and fuel delivery planning modelsfollowing execution.

You'llproject-manage new fuel-related initiatives as they arise, whilst managingcross-functional interfaces effectively to develop viable, value addinginitiatives to the approvals stage.

About you

Experienceof global physical commodity markets, procurement and logistics is a must –knowledge of biomass and/or agricultural market would be an advantage.

You'll understandsustainability and traceability systems and the nuances of developing markets,with an interest in actively influencing these.

You'llpossess excellent negotiation skills, strong communication and analyticalskills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of theorganisation and external counterparties.

As a committed team player, you'lldisplay initiative and be able to lead and manage projects within stricttimescales and budgets.
