    Description
    Marlborough Highways has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Street Lighting Installation Operative to join our organisation. As part of the Street Lighting Team, this role will support in the growth of the department, focusing on all elements of Street Lighting including the installation, maintenance and removal of all street furniture.

    Key Responsibilities

    • The installation, removal & repair of all street furniture, including columns, sign posts, bollards , beacons, guard rail, plus others as required
    • Installation of Ducting & Cable
    • Excavation & Reinstate
    • Adhering fully to Health and Safety Responsibilities at all times
    • Management of basic on-site risk assessments.
    • Being responsible for site traffic management.
    • Being responsible for company equipment and vehicles.

    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    • Technically competent with experience working within street lighting (see requirements below)
    • Comfortable working within a team as well as working alone and to tight deadlines.
    • Ability to read maps and a good level of written and numerical skills.
    • Demonstrable ability to learn new processes quickly.
    • Excellent attention to detail & self-motivated.
    • Able to demonstrate technical knowledge and analytical skills.
    • Full training will be provided to allow the successful candidate to develop into the role.


    Technical Experience, training, and qualifications:
    • Street Lighting experience
    • NRSWA operative
    • Full clean UK Driving Licence
    • Lorry Loader Hook - Desirable
    • An understanding of Sign Lighting and Guarding.
    • ECS Health and Safety Assessment
    • First Aid Training.
    • Manual Handling Training.
    • G39 Training.
    • 302.1 or 302.2.
    • Power Tools training.
