Software Engineer C++ | Birmingham | £45,000 – £60,000
Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with a growing and talented, award-winning software provider.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer with experience of C++ and Web development.

You'll work with a team on computer vision, content identification, processing at scale, big data, and a web portal with complex metadata.

The position requires strong commercial development experience in C++ , familiarity with distributed systems, keen mathematical skills, and enthusiasm for technical challenges.

You will work across several disciplines, including software/database design, C++ algorithm development, continuous integration/delivery and PHP scripting.
As C++ Web Developer you will be working as part of a team on a large-scale application that supports services in use by major global companies
You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from design and prototype through development, testing, and deployment
Working effectively to estimate and deliver issues, working within teams that use Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong commercial software development experience, including object oriented concepts.
Experience in software development for distributed systems.
Experience with automated testing best practices, and Continuous Integration/Delivery.
Familiarity with software configuration management (SCM) concepts and version control systems, especially Git.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems, including scripting skills.
Experience of PHP scripting, Docker, GitLab CI, Embedded C, MySQL, Redis, Beanstalk / RabbitMQ / ActiveMQ
Familiarity working in a development team that uses Software Configuration Management (SCM) concepts, version control (incl. Software Engineer | Software Developer | C++ | Web
