Nairn's Oatcakes Ltd have been baking oatcakes since 1896.Today, we have a versatile range of oatcakes, oat biscuits, oat snacks and gluten free products which we manufacture at two sites in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary training assistant at our Peffermill Road site whilst our Continuous Improvement Coordinator is seconded to a NPD Technologist role.
Role
The role will include maintaining training records including matrices and hard copy files for all operations departments at Peffermill, carrying out training as required and working with operators to ensure that they comply with established procedures.
The Training Administrator will also be responsible for liaising with e-learning platforms to arrange annual refreshers at both sites and supporting the implementation of additional e-learning courses.
They will also be responsible for updating the content of e-learning courses and supporting the development of the transition to a paperless training system.
They will ensure that the online platform delivers all relevant certificates and correctly reflects the online training taken by employees.
The Training Administrator will be required to work between a number of different departments, including working closely with production teams, engineering, supply chain, technical and QA.
Responsibilities will include:
1) Training administration - maintenance of skills matrices for production, supply chain, engineering, warehouse, and hygiene department.
2) Maintaining hard copy filing systems.
3) Carrying out training and ensuring compliance
4) Monitoring training needs and arranging training as and when needed for new starts, upskilling employees and for updated procedures / briefings.
5) Coordinating refresher training for compliance training that requires it, including arranging provision of e-learning courses.
6) Updating the content of e-learning courses
7) Providing a weekly training needs update for the Team Manager
8) Copying hard copies of training records to migrate them to Online folders on Sharepoint
9) Supporting projects for the completion of training records online
