£24,000 p.a. (plus £3,000 Inner London Weighting if applicable)


Reporting to:
Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager


Job Location:
London (hybrid working, with travel to meet our corporates and see our programmes in action, as required)


Start date:
As soon as possible


Contract:
Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week). Flexible working requests will be considered.

The Access Project collaborates with universities on shared priorities to improve attainment and close the access gap for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.


The programme combats educational inequality and improves social mobility by raising students' grades and supporting them to understand the pathway to a top university.

About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop broad fundraising knowledge and skills. You will work across the fundraising team supporting the different functions and engaging in a wide variety of activities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual who is either looking for their second role in fundraising or seeking to make a sector change from a sales-based role.


The Access Project recently launched its new four year strategy and you will be joining us at an exciting time of growth and opportunity.

As part of a friendly and collaborative fundraising team you will support a wide range of activities and have plenty of input into new ideas.


Duties and responsibilities

_ Support the stewardship and growth of long-term corporate partnerships_

  • Research new business opportunities with identified prospective corporate partners and carry out due diligence
  • Respond to incoming enquiries from businesses, providing information about The Access Project and proactively identifying how a partnership can meet their needs
  • Support the end to end sales process from lead generation, sales conversations to close for selected entry level partners
  • Attend and support the organisation of cultivation and stewardship events (e.g. networking events for partner organisations featuring external expert speakers)
  • Support with the regular reporting related to business partnerships
  • Support with the running of stewardship opportunities (e.g. events with schools) to businesses in line with our corporate partnership levels.
  • Help to prepare reports for corporate partners on the impact of their partnership with us.
  • Keep corporate partnership opportunities up to date on our CRM database (Salesforce)
  • Work closely with other teams at The Access Project to ensure a joinedup approach to business relationships.
  • Come up with new ideas to engage corporate partners in employee fundraising and
payroll giving.


_ Support the research, stewardship and growth of grant making trusts_

  • Identify and research (including due diligence checks) new potential trust partners who are aligned with our mission, creating research profiles with followup actions.
  • Undertake research on current or lapsed trust partners to identify changes in charitable giving or organisational mission.

_ Support the development of individual giving_

  • Work with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager and other staff as relevant to develop and execute a plan to generate more income from individual donors.
  • Work with the Finance team to produce income reporting of Individual Giving platforms
  • Ensure timely thank you communications for donations, making donors feel valued and inspired.
  • Add donations to the database and seek to improve the way we use Salesforce for individual giving.
  • Provide insights from the database to help with pipeline development for mid and major donor giving
    .

_ Support the research and stewardship of major donors_

  • Create profiles of The Access Project's major donors and record on Salesforce
  • Research major donor prospects to inform the maj
