We are currently recruiting for a temporary Proposal Manger to work for an established company based in Newbury to support the sales teams.

The primary responsibility will be to deliver on sales targets and support with business growth.

This role is on a temporary basis for initially the next 3-6 months to support the team.


Main roles and responsibilities

  • Preparing responses to requests for quotation or tender documents
  • Collation, formatting and costing of proposals, to meet client expectations and objectives
  • Development of promotional materials, presentations, costing and reference database
  • Managing and responding to client ad hoc requests
  • Preparing project handover documents and conducting project handover meetings
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure marketing material is up to date
  • Business development support in Far East region
  • Facilitating updates to procedures and processes, to ensure compliance with quality systems
  • Support project managers with client liaison to always ensure client satisfaction.

Day to Day Activities

  • Update and maintain Sales CRM and QA documentation for the sales processes
  • Compile proposals and tenders for new projects
  • Organise project scope meetings, both internal and external

Technical and professional skills

  • A Qualification in engineering, business, or marketing
  • 510 years of experience, ideally within the oil and gas industry (preferably in a similar Role).
  • Experience in sales or similar industry a benefit, but not necessary
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and spelling ability
  • Excellent presentation and written / oral communication skills.
  • High degree of IT Literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Words, MS project) with excellent numerical skills.
