Description

There is an integrated Medical Oncology service across Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Airedale NHS Foundation Trust serving a population of 600,000.The post holder will join a team of three other Medical Oncology Consultants based in Bradford.

There are two Specialist Trainees in Medical Oncology, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner and five Acute Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialists at Bradford.

At Airedale there is one Medical Oncology consultant, two Associate Specialists, a Consultant Pharmacist and three Acute Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialists.

Visiting Clinical Oncologists from the Leeds Cancer Centre provide Bradford and Airedale patients with access to radiotherapy including Gamma Knife and SABR.

There are close links to Leeds Medical School.

The post holder will provide outpatient and MDT support to Upper Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary and Gynaecological cancers.
