We are looking for a capable and erudite biophysics scientist to join our cancer research biotech in Southampton. We have significant VC funding to help drive the development of our intracellular screening platform.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a small, growing biophysics team who are collaborating with a big pharma R&D world leader.

This is how you will spend your timeSpearhead and troubleshoot development of biophysical assays.
Support the chemistry and biology teams by working across multiple projects.
Focus on researching protein-ligand interactions.
Drive company progress in line with key project milestones.
Embedded in high performing labs with the option to use the University facilities.

If you have these skills, we are excited to speak with you We are looking for someone with a PhD in biophysics, biochemistry or similar field and track record of publications and showcasing your work at conferences.

Drug discovery experience at a biotech or pharma company is essential to excel in this role. You will also have strong command of techniques such as SPR, ITC and MST. Strong technical skills aside, you will be able to clearly communicate complex ideas to fellow scientists and external partners. You will curious, intelligent and highly motivated to work at pace. At a fast growth start up priorities change so you will be both adaptable and dependable.
