    About the Role:
    Drax Group produces, sources, sellsand produces electricity from biomass pellets as part of its globaloperations.

    As a pellet producer, wesource sustainable fibre close to our pellet operations, before converting thematerial into pellets and then transporting them to internationalcounterparties, where they are used to generate renewable electricity(including at our own UK biomass generation plant in Selby).

    As a pellet user and trader, we source andsell sustainable biomass pellets. Draxis committed to delivering sustainability best practice and compliance with localand international laws in relation to its activities.

    The purpose of the Industry Frameworks and Supply Chain Complianceteam is to establish, implement, maintain and continuously improve effectivecompliance programmes to ensure:


    • our fibre and pellet activities meet regulatory requirements
    we comply with all obligations under the renewable support and security of supply frameworks for all Drax Group assets (including Renewables Obligation, Contract for Difference and Capacity Market schemes in the UK), and are able to evidence compliance, through appropriate biomass certification schemes; and


    • our processes, controls and reporting/verification frameworks are robust and resilient

    As an effective data handler, you'llsupport the Industry Framework team with a busy and varied workload of dataprocessing, reporting and verification in relation to a number of complex anddifferent frameworks and mechanisms.

    This will include, generationsettlement/metered data, fuel measurement and sampling data, sustainability duediligence data including greenhouse gas calculations for the Group, and biomasssustainability certification evidence.

    You'll help collate regular reports toregulators including in relation to evidence of compliance with stringentsustainability requirements for fuel data.

    Working closely with Managers in theteam, as well as many other key stakeholders including engineering departments,trading teams, Risk and Finance professionals and Sustainability/forestryexperts.

    About you
    You'll have strong numerical ability, underpinned by arelevant degree in mathematics, environmental or scientific subject.

    Being comfortable with unstructured and complex dataare essential in this role, alongside excellent problem-solving skills, and thefocus and drive to deliver outcomes within a planned timeline.

    You'll bring tothe role demonstrable experience with application of analytical techniques in asensible, pragmatic way and understanding of their limitations.

    You'll alsohave advanced knowledge and experience using Excel, which is essential.

    As important as hard skills and experience is your outlook. Resourcefuland flexible, you'll find work arounds for complex problems.

    Working in ahybrid environment, with at least two days based at a Drax Group office, youwill be a self-starter and able to use your own initiative.
