    UK citizenship is mandatory to be able to obtain SC clearanceOur client stands as the sole European organisation with expertise in crafting and manufacturing advanced projectile systems and related systems, catering comprehensively to the present and future requisites of all three branches of the armed forces. They are looking for a Technical Software Engineer to help define their Software Datalinks and it's protocols.
    Responsibilities

    • Lead the technical aspects of designing and developing future datalink systems and protocols.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications.
    • Conduct system architecture design and development.
    • Implement and optimize datalinks protocols.
    • Oversee testing and validation activities to ensure system reliability and performance.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in datalink technologies.
    • Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for datalink systems.
    Skills & Experience

    • Technically lead a team of Software Engineers.
    • Proficiency in mobile and satellite communications, including associated protocols.
    • Competence in (SDR) technology.
    • Understanding of network architectures and communication
    • Knowledgeable in communication systems, theory, and digital signal processing (DSP), including embedded firmware.
    • Familiarity with wireless protocols such as 5G.
    • Understanding of Mesh Networking principles and protocols like AODV.
    • Familiarity with radio interfaces and various modulation/demodulation techniques.
