    As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for a range of activities critical to the delivery of VWFS UK's Risk Management strategy, including the production of management information that we use to inform business strategy and ensure the business is operating within risk appetite.

    Crucially, you will need to take a pro-active approach to analysing trends in the portfolio, paying particular attention to shifts in the portfolios that may introduce longer-term risks. You will review all trends and exceptions identified in the regular suite of reports, investigate them and report appropriately.

    This is what you will be doing:

    • You will be responsible for the production of detailed portfolio analysis, used to monitor the effectiveness of the credit risk strategy and support future strategy developments
    • Conduct the annual review and validation of all credit scorecards, including the PD models
    • Producing KPI and executive summary reporting, including performance reports for the underwriting team and reporting pack for the Credit and Lending Risk Committee
    • You will support the Risk Manager with the development, testing and implementation of risk models and strategies, for example; to assess customer creditworthiness and affordability
    • Creating bespoke, ad hoc reporting and analysis using Tableau, Excel, Business Objects, SQL, and other tools
    • You will be involved in projects and initiatives as required, including business testing of new systems and products to support the Risk Manager and the Head of Risk
    • Supporting the wider Risk team to investigate and explain any movements in the retail portfolio and monthly IFRS9 credit risk provision
    • Producing data and information to support the internal and external audit processes
    • You will regularly update and refine existing procedures and processes, including verification of relevant LOHB documents and ARIS maps, ensuring compliance with latest IOHBs and Internal Control System (ICS) requirements

    About you:

    • You will have a background in data analytics with experience using data analytics tools such as MS Excel, Tableau and Business Objects
    • Solid commercial experience within the financial service industry, preferably in a Risk or comparable analytical environment
    • You have a great understanding of retail financial services products and, the requirements of working in a regulated industry sector is preferable
    • If you have expertise in the use of SQL and statistical analysis software it would be of great benefit
    • You can communicate complicated and technical information in a clear and concise way and to a high standard
    • Proactive in your approach and you are able to react appropriately and effectively to changing circumstances and demands
    • You have the ability to interpret complex problems, formulate solutions, and innovate to ensure effective delivery
    • Self-motivated, with a high level of drive and personal commitment with a desire to develop skills and experience
    • You have a high attention to detail, quality, consistency and accuracy
