At Watford Community Housing, one of our strategic objectives is to continue operating as a well governed organisation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Company Secretary to ensure we meet the highest standards of governance throughout the Watford Community Housing Group.

What's the role?

What are we looking for?
You will be a good communicator, able to work with a wide range of stakeholders within the organisation.

You'll have an excellent grasp of corporate governance and an understanding of how to effectively manage the company secretary responsibilities across a Group structure.

You will have a background in Company Secretary and Corporate Governance roles, and knowledge of the housing sector or other similar regulated sectors would be a distinct advantage.


Essential:

  • A number of years of relevant experience at this level
  • Strong communicator, able to work effectively with Board and Committees
  • Experience in managing and developing staff
  • You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications as Company Secretary / Corporate Governance
  • Knowledge of the housing sector and regulatory requirements
