    Your dream role:

    Alexander Dennis is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Communications Specialist, in this pivotal role, you'll be the right hand to our Group Marketing Director, facilitating seamless communication between internal teams and external stakeholders to amplify our brand's voice and drive our commercial success.

    As a key player in our marketing squad, you'll play a crucial part in advancing our strategic objectives outlined in our 2024 marketing strategy.     Main responsibilities:

    • Prepare quality and engaging internal communications across all communications mediums, including written, digital, video, presentation materials.
    • Regularly organise and host meetings with key internal stakeholders to drive employee engagement.
    • Champion the employer brand in the marketing team.
    • Support the role out of the company's mission, vision, culture, and values.
    • Organise and support employee engagement events at company sites.
    • Support the Group Marketing Manager on the company's wider brand journey.
    • Lead for AD24 brand communications in the marketing team, liaising with relevant AD24 teams to communicate news relating to the brand, creating relevant associated marketing assets.
    • Liaising with suppliers to create engaging graphics, reports, and publications.
    • B2B marketing activity to support our AD24 brand to drive sales in products and services.
    • Support the Group Marketing Communications Manager in drafting press releases, social media, and wider communications campaign activity.
    • Support public affairs and political communications activity for the wider business, including PowerPoint presentations and political briefing documents.
    • Support commercial and business development activity through quality drafting of communications.
    • Support administrative processes relating to the marketing budget, including raising purchase orders, tracking payments, and liaising with suppliers.

    What you will bring:

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in marketing communications.
    • Good understanding of marketing and communications practices, including brand marketing.
    • Experience of working with internal audiences.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills and an adaptable writing style.
    • A persuasive and diplomatic communicator with the ability to handle confidential information sensitively and quickly build trusting relationships with a wide range of individuals (internally and externally).
    • Able to work as part of a team and multi-task, with good time management skills.
    • A proactive and creative approach.
    • Ability to work flexibly and cope with change.
    • Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
    • Competent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    Desirable but not essential:

    • A keen interest in the bus industry.
    • Experience of working with global and/or heritage brands.
    • Experience of working with global internal audiences.
    • Events management experience.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator).
