A Hybrid working model


Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week.

The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people.

The Role:


The UK Head of New Business is responsible for executing the Global Growth Strategy at a local (UK / EMEA) level and leading the New Business process for the UK offices.

Reporting to the UK Managing Director and Global Managing Director of Growth, this is a critical role in helping Hogarth achieve its growth objectives.

You will develop a thorough understanding of all areas of Hogarth's business including products and service offerings.

You will be required to articulate these fluently to internal and external stakeholders including WPP HoldCo and OpCo entities, new business consultants and prospective / existing clients.

You will work closely with all departments and offices in Hogarth, be a strong communicator and a natural leader.

You will work closely with the Hogarth marketing team to ensure that relevant client case studies and other New Business colleateral is up-to-date and accessible to the wider leadership and senior account leads via the Growth Hub.

You will build teams to deliver winning pitches and be able to create compelling sales decks and have impressive presentation skills with the ability to operate at a senior level (client and agency).

Key areas of responsibility


Growth driver

  • Play a leading role in new business pitches
  • Manage and respond to incoming new business opportunities
  • Drive and maintain a UK New Business development plan, comms and contact strategy and identify specific opportunities and actions (note the UK operates as a hub for global clients)
  • Manage, maintain, track and report the pipeline of New Business opportunities
  • Support UK MD and Global MD of Growth in driving agency revenue growth across new business
  • Work with client leads to support and drive organic strategic business growth within existing client portfolios

Relationship management

  • Build relationships with prospective clients based on plan agreed with UKMD, GMDG
  • Seen as a trusted advisor on Hogarth's capabilities and provides guidance and counsel to internal stakeholders across the business to help them achieve their business objectives by developing the right growth strategy

Collaboration

  • Work with UKMD and GMDG to understand who the right capability experts are to bring in to unlock opportunities for growth and lead pitches
  • Maintain high level of trust and respect among department heads in Creative, Production, Operations, Technology, Commercial, Finance and SMEs
  • Work with Hogarth Global ExCo and Hogarth Marketing Team to tell the story of Hogarth by delivering compelling case studies and content sound bites

  • Understand how innovations in technology (e.g AI, the use of data etc) can change how we approach content creation and elevate the types of conversations and recommendations we have with prospective clients
  • Have an active interest in sustainability and help drive change within Hogarth to think and act more sustainably

Financials

  • Support UK MD & GMDG with New Business budgets and forecasting
  • Partner with the Client Delivery, Finance and Commercial Teams to review new business revenue and plan against regular revenue analyses provided by the finance team to achieve monthly commitments
  • Knowledge of profit levers and use them to drive profitability with
