Buyer - Grimsby - Up to £31,000Chase & Holland are thrilled to be working closely with a well-established group within their head office in Grimsby, who are UK leaders in their specialist sector. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join their Procurement team as a
Buyerfor a newly created role due to growth.

As a
Buyer, you will be responsible for minimising the impact of inflation and reducing costs through negotiation, category reviews and the identification of other cost reduction opportunities.

Buyer Responsibilities:

Undertake sourcing of materials, obtain competitive prices, check availability and evaluate quality information
Continually look for opportunities to drive down procurement spend and deliver cost savings through category management and improving procurement methods
Review, analyse and identify supply options
Source materials/suppliers, ensuring any new suppliers are assessed and any risks identified
Maintain accurate procurement records
Develop good supplier relationships
Resolve supply issues, implementing improvement plans and developing alternatives
Ensure that correct procurement procedures are adhered to
Processing of tenders and insurance

Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm & Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

Required Skills & Experience:

Relevant CIPS qualification to level 2 as a minimum
IT Literate including Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of financial policies and procedures
At least two years' experience within a Procurement Office
Experience of using electronic tender software & processes
Experience of working in a large/complex organisation
