An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Estates Capital Projects Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

As a Capital Project Assistant, you will report to the Head of Capital Projects. You will also be an experienced team player with excellent financial management and communication skills.


The Capital Project Assistant will assist in the day to day administration of the Trust's Capital Programme for developing the Trust Estate.

The role requires an individual who is looking for a fresh challenge that will bring analytical and project management skills to the department and be able to work autonomously and have a good understanding of Capital Finance systems, processes and procedures.

  • The daytoday running of the business, administrative and support services required by the Project Managers
  • To be the first point of contact to the Trust project clients and contractors in the absence of Project Managers
  • To provide project problems resolution in the absence of Project Managers
  • To arrange and prepare materials for meetings, including scheduling rooms, agendas, collation of materials for discussion and minutes
  • To liaise with Head of Capital Projects and Capital Programme Support officer to ensure rapid access to capital programme data and provision of project code numbers
  • To demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation in analysing and solving problems with contractors, inhouse staff, Facilities, IT, Thamesnet and Security
  • To raise and process orders as appropriate in accordance with client objectives
  • To be proficient in the use of finance systems in order to raise purchase orders and receipt invoices
  • To research procurement supports by obtaining contractors/ suppliers estimates
  • To assist Senior Project Managers in equipping large scale projects


Ideally, you will have had experience working in a similar environment, have an understanding of Healthcare project finance, managing small projects in a Healthcare environment and have excellent Excel skills.

The role requires good I.T. and analytical skills and experience.
