Press and Media Officer - £35-£40,000 - Worthing - Hybrid

Location:
Hybrid working, Durrington, Worthing

Perm/FTC: 9 month Maternity cover

Hours: 37 hrs

Salary:
Up to £40,000 based on experience

Our utilities client is currently seeking a Press and Media Officer to join their team. If you're media savvy, you'll know that this is going to be a challenging role. This is an opportunity to join a team where your work will make a real and lasting impact. Behind the day-to-day press office activity is a business with a positive transformation story to tell. Our client is a business full of passionate, highly skilled people that need your help to share their progress.

As part of the press and media team you'll play a key role in developing and placing content that tells the clients story across all types of media - print, broadcast and digital.

Working closely with teams from across the business you'll create media campaigns that protect and enhance their reputation.

You'll also be frontline in a busy press office environment, establishing facts and getting to the heart of an issue; you'll create responses and talk to journalists so that our voice is heard.

To be successful, you'll be someone who understands the media landscape, particularly regional and trade press. You'll be confident in engaging with journalists and media outlets reactively and proactively. You'll have a track record for building campaigns that secure positive coverage to meet business objectives. You'll be super organized and your writing skills are one of your strongest assets.

This client is a 24/7 operational business so chances are you'll have worked in an operational or regulated business before.

You'll have tenacity and resilience, and working against deadlines doesn't faze you.
