Production Wholesale Merchandiser - The Company

My client is an established womenswear fashion garments wholesale supplier to the high street and online brands. They supply young fashion led garments (woven & jersey fabrics) and have numerous accounts. They are looking for a Production WholesaleMerchandiser to join their friendly team. Ideally to work five days a week in the company office. The ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced environment and have an excellent phone manner.

Production Wholesale Merchandiser - The Role

This is an exciting and challenging role for a highly motivated individual who would like to progress their career in the fashion industry.

• Working very closely with the Sales/Technical team this position will involve:
• Responsible for own account, from raising the order to delivery following the critical path.
• Liaising with the buying teams directly on the phone and via email, confirming details of order & delivery
• Managing and updating of the critical path, to ensure deliveries are met.
• Liaising with fabric agents/suppliers in UK and Romania, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, and Sri Lanka. Making sure orders are on time.
• Chasing up approvals, fabric/trims
• Advising buyers of problem/ changes

Production Wholesale Merchandiser - The Candidate

• Must have had previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing /supplier environment in a clothing company.
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Very organised, numerate, Hands on
• Can work on own initiative.
• Confident & Articulate
• Numerate & analytical, with have good problem-solving skills.
• Great IT skills -word & excel.
• Copes well under pressure
