    We are currently looking for two Transport Planners to support our growing Logistics Team within Operations, this is a fantastic role that will allow the successful candidate to up skill and develop through the company, you will find more details below.

    Key Responsibilities

    Network Optimisation:
    Designing and optimising transportation networks to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. This may involve planning routes, determining transportation modes, and identifying key hubs or transfer points.

    Cost Management:
    Developing strategies to minimise transportation costs while maintaining high levels of service. This includes evaluating transportation options, negotiating contracts with carriers, and implementing cost-saving measures.

    Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensuring compliance with relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry guidelines. This includes staying up to date on changes in legislation and adapting transportation plans accordingly.

    Data Analysis:
    Utilising data and analytics to assess transportation performance, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions. This may involve collecting and analysing data on transportation patterns, costs, and service levels via KPI suite.

    Collaboration:
    Collaborating with various stakeholders, including logistics teams, suppliers, government agencies, and community members. Building and maintaining relationships with key partners is crucial for successful transport planning.

    Technology Integration:
    Leveraging technology solutions, such as transportation management systems (TMS), to enhance planning and decision-making processes.

    Administration:
    The administration of documentation relating to company vehicles.

    What You Need

    Knowledge of TMS systems
    Experience within Transport Planning
    Transport & Logistics
    Organisational skills
